Furballs' Broken Stone Seed Helmet
Furballs' Broken Stone Seed Helmet is a knock off from Furballs' Broken Stone Seed (published February 2020). In this hat pattern, the partition is built up differently than in the dishcloth version. Instead of using ssk / k2tog / yo / travelling cable to make the partition, here we use slip stitch in the body and carry up into the crown with CDD. We also use a four (4) point even decreases every other row forming this gothic arch shaped panels for the crown - a variation from the even roundness from even eight (8) decreases every other row. The cast on formula for this hat is 4 + 8n where n is an odd whole number bigger than 1. Could n be an even number? Of course yes, but you will have to figure out the best way for the crown decreases.
