Furballs' Broken Seed Inside Out Helmet

Image
After such a long hiatus, the charity pattern is back (hooray and big paw up from furballs).  For some reasons, I could not generate enough interest for the test knit in 2020.  A few weeks ago, I re-launched the test and got some kind testers to try it out.  So I am now more confident to publish it. Furballs' Broken Seed Inside Out Helmet  is a playful knock off from Furballs' Broken Seed Inside Out  (dishcloth).  Both are starting from center out meaning with the hat it is top down in construction.  Also because of the height difference between the broken seed stitch and the granite stitch, it is not going to be in four (4) panel format but rather in alternating stripes. Please donate generously to your local cats / animals shelters when using this pattern in whole or in part. Furballs and I thanks you in advance. So enjoy the pattern and the knitting.  Meow for now :D Furballs' Broken Stone Seed Inside Out Helmet Materials Yarn , worst...

Furballs and Remembrance Day Broken Stone Poppy

Image
Just made it in time for Remembrance Day.  This morning, I started to knit according to written instruction again for the centre and one petal.  Everything should be good. The yarn over in the pattern is to add extra yarn for the make one increase.  If you can see through all that, you can simply remount the yarn over for the increase instead of dropping it.  Knowledge on three needle binding will be an advantage in completing this dishcloth.  Videos on the technique is readily available on YouTube.  Otherwise simple sewing the edges together will work too.  The k2tog at the end of some of the rows will used up the stitches from the round disc and get the petal attached to the flower centre. Furballs and I will appreciate all donations to Veteran Association.  We thank you in advance Happy knitting .... Furballs' Broken Stone Leaf Scarf

Image
It is getting hotter and hotter here.  Moo Moo and Tabby is ready to unzip their fur coats and change into Sphinxes. Though it is strange to release winter item in the middle of  summer, but I just fool myself saying I am planning for the coming seasons lol Furball's Broken Stone Leaf Scarf is a long scarf adjustable with numbers of repeat.  It is a continuation from last month project , enlarging the pattern and stack it up sideway / zigzag with overlapping to increase interest.  I can see some will comment on that it is too busy, but well, we all have our own preference and that is what made life interesting. Enjoy the pattern and please donate generously to you local Cats / Animals Shelters when using the pattern in part or in whole.  Furballs and I thanks you in advance. Our next pattern will be a hat using the same old same old granite stitch and broken seed stitch.  I know it could be boring (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) but consider it is only on...

Furballs' Broken Stone Seed Leaf

Image
After using granite stitch and broken seed stitches in general combos in the past patterns, this time in Broken Stone Seed Leaf , we use the two stitch patterns in making up the common leaf motif.  I am pretty satisfy with the revival as it gives a different look than the normal stockinette background. In this piece, we keep the slanting line with the use of decreases and increases.  I love the look of the broken seed stitches in the leaf.  It echoes the horizontal line with the background granite stitches.  The purl bumps from the broken seed stitch is not as bold as the p2tog's from the granite stitches and make them both standout on its own. Difficulty level for this one:  furballs claimed they can do it with a flicker of their tails. Enjoy the pattern and please donate generously to you local Cats / Animals Shelters when using the pattern in part or in whole.  Furballs and I thanks you in advance. In our next blo...
