Furballs' Holdiay Ornament

Here comes again the holiday seasons and some of us are ahead of the game while others try to play catching up.  For the furballs, they just don't care much as long as their bowls are full all day and litterbox clean on time.

This month featuring Furballs' Holiday Ornament which is basically an extension of Furballs' Moon Stone.  Surly nothing to write home about.  The "high" point of this pattern is to knit in the closed loop while bind off instead of add yarn to crochet a closed loop with  more yarn tails to hide.
Beside hanging up on trees, the FO could also be used as facial scrubby or kitchen scrubby in its small size and surface texture.

When I was doing the test knit, I noticed that tester felt difficult to understand how to make that closed loop.  My personal thought is that it is not a common way to add a loop to a FO.  The mental block is there.  Usually we will add yarn to crochet a closed loop.  I, instead, use knitting all through (no need to pick up crochet hook if you don't want to, but of course, part of this could be done in crochet when making the one (1) stitch i-cord).  Also identifying certain stitch to knit into it might also post some challenge.  So in the pattern when making the one (1) stitch i-cord, one can use a detachable marker to mark Stitch M which will be referred to when joining the loop.

Furballs has rated this pattern, need three (3) paws and best to knit after a long and satisfying nap.

Have fun knitting the ornament and please remember to donate generously to local cats and animals shelters when you use part or whole of the pattern in your FO.  Furballs and I thanks you in advance.

Have a wonderful holiday until next year.  In 2020, we will start with Furballs' Heart of Stone to see how the granite stitch could be short rowed in another way as side border in bias knitting.
